Now popular in both Christian and secular circles, these movies and their creators have raised the standard for filmmakers in the Christian film industry. But these movies were not made overnight or the first projects of their creators. Like the great filmmakers before them, they started small: weaving stories and worlds together as children, playing with their first camera, and making their first short film. Through trial and error, encouragement and criticism, they became the filmmakers they are today.

The MHEA Film Festival is the perfect opportunity for filmmakers to see their work on the big screen. The festival offers many categories for newbie filmmakers and those more experienced in the craft. Categories include Best Young Filmmaker, Best MHEA Promotional Media, Best Trailer, Best Short Film, Best Documentary, and MORE! Deadline for submissions is April 16.
