ABOUT MHEA
Mississippi Home Educators Association (MHEA) seeks to enable, equip, and encourage families committed to teaching their children at home. We implement these goals by monitoring legislation, offering resources and events, and promoting our affiliated homeschool support groups.
WE ENABLE
We enable Mississippi home educators by influencing state legislation, supporting or opposing it as necessary.

WE EQUIP
We equip Mississippi home educators by offering resources through our social media and e-newsletters, hosting events to educate and inspire, and answering questions through email, phone, and text.
WE ENCOURAGE
We encourage Mississippi home educators by promoting our affiliated homeschool support groups throughout the state. These groups range in size and activity, and they exist to help Mississippi homeschoolers on a daily basis.

WE BELIEVE
-
The Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God.
-
God has existed from all eternity in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ, born of a virgin, was God, came in human flesh, being fully God and fully man, except without sin.
-
Man is, by nature, sinful and is inherently in need of salvation.
-
Christ’s death provides substitutionary atonement for our sins. He literally rose bodily from the dead.
-
Salvation is offered as a gift – free to the sinner. This gift must be responded to in individual faith, not trusting in any personal works whatsoever, but in the sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus Christ alone.
-
Jesus will literally come to earth again in the Second Advent.
