The Mississippi Home Educators Association [MHEA] seeks to enable, equip, and encourage those families committed to teaching their children at home. MHEA accomplishes this goal through their annual conferences, and through their affiliated local support groups.
- We enable Mississippi home educators by monitoring and influencing state and national proposed legislation, supporting or opposing it as appropriate.
- We equip Mississippi home educators by sponsoring programs that inform and educate prospective and veteran home educators.
- We encourage Mississippi home educators to excel in their home education program and to have strong Biblically-based families that will bring up Mississippi’s next generation of Godly leaders.

It is also our desire to strengthen the local support groups and their leadership, thus making them effective in their ministry to the home educators of Mississippi.
